Lina Mafi has been involved with music and the performing arts all her life. In her first few years of life, she began singing in church choir and performing with a dance studio, during which time she learned her deep appreciation for music and performance. Lina was the recipient of a full-time vocal music scholarship to attend her alma mater. During her time in college, she pursued a minor in vocal music performance and competed in the annual NATS Bay Area Chapter Competition, winning the Collegiate/Post-Collegiate Contemporary Music categories.
Throughout her musical career, Lina has had the honor of performing throughout the United States, including the Hollywood Bowl and Carnegie Hall, as well as throughout Europe. These incredible experiences have given Lina the chance to explore the cathartic power of performing. For this reason, she encourages her own students to perform, whether that be at a student recital or with family members.
In her voice, piano, and songwriting lessons, Lina works with students to master healthy vocal production, study music theory, and strengthen their musicality while learning from a diverse, challenging repertoire. Lina believes outlining your musical goals, dedicating time to your instrument, and challenging yourself is the key to become a successful, fulfilled musician.
